Our synthetic lace front wigs are made with high quality synthetic hair, which is heat resistant up to 180 degrees. However, it is strongly recommended that you use no heat or a low heat setting when styling this hair, to prolong the life of your unit (similar to human hair lace wigs).
Washing:
Synthetic wigs should be washed in cool water with a mild shampoo and conditioner. (Using conditioner is highly recommended to reduce tangling.) Do not scrub the wig, just swish it from side to side and dunk it up and down. Wigs should be hung to air dry - DO NOT BLOW DRY. (Synthetic wigs may also be set when wet, using rollers.)Synthetic hair can also be washed in a solution of water and regular fabric softener/ fabric conditioner - this is highly recommended as it softens the hair.
Once dry, spray sheen or detangling spray onto the wig (we sell both Brandywine Wig Spray and Pro Touch Leave-In conditioning spray, which are highly recommended for synthetic hair) and comb or brush depending on the type of wig you have (See Combing and Brushing below).
Setting:
Synthetic hair wigs can be set quite easily by following these instructions:
After washing, comb the hair (as instructed below) then set in rollers with rolling papers and setting lotion
Leave on a wig stand or styrofoam head overnight or until completely dried.
Once dry, take out the rollers and style the wig as desired.
Styling:
BE CAUTIOUS WHEN USING HEAT ON SYNTHETIC HAIR - use no heat or a low heat setting to prolong the life of the wig. For curly wigs, if wig hair gets frizzy, try any sheen spray or wig spray to calm the frizziness and then comb. If not, wash with fabric conditioner then set with setting lotion to get the frizziness out. When wigs are tangled, use any detangling or sheen spray then comb the hair.
Combing:
Always use a wide tooth comb on this hair - avoid brushing it unless it is straight or yaki textured.
Hair Products:
The best way to style this hair is to spray it with clean, cool water every morning. If you use styling products, make sure to wash the hair regularly to get rid of styling product buildup.
Wig Storage:
While wigs are not in use, they may be stored in a hair net and plastic bag or on a wig stand, such as styrofoam head.
